In 1982, in my junior year of high school, in a literature class, we read a short story. To me the story was about finding courage to face your fears and follow your dreams, no matter what obstacles the world put in your path. I failed the paper on that short story, as I was told by the teacher I was WRONGWRONGWRONG. To this day I can't remember the title, author, or 'correct' interpretation, but the broad themes I found in the story ring very true to me.
