Crossover Pairings...
Over at
xoverland we were challenged to do a photo-manip picspam of "Five Unique Crossover Pairings". This is a real challenge to me because I don't do photo-manips or crossover shipping. Heh. But with my Shiny New Computer(tm) that has photoshop elements on it, I thought I'd give it a go. Plus I decided that if I consider Crossover Pairing to mean "characters I'd love to see interact in the same story" I could come up with five couples that aren't seen anywhere. Keep in mind that not only are my photoshop skills are average, but my preferred style of graphics tends to be the opposite of avant garde. *grin*

I love both of these characters. They are strong and smart and likable. They are both passionate about their jobs and are occasionally vulnerable when they shouldn't be. In the fic that will (probably) never be written, Auggie would be in California for a tech thing and end up the only witness to a murder. Auggie and Grace would hit it off (much to Rigsby's annoyance) and they're efforts would end up solving the case. I'm not sure how Jayne would fit in it all, but I think that Auggie would be enough of a mystery to keep him interested.

I'm not sure if this pairing is unique. I'm hoping it's at least rare, but in many ways Hardison and Garcia are obvious. They have a great deal in common and are easily brought together. They are both tech-wizards and both have a history of hacking and illegal activity -- even if Garcia is now with the FBI. In the fic that will (probably) never be written, Garcia runs across a hack into the FBI that she recognizes as Hardison. She looks into it to stop him (and keep him from getting in trouble) and get's caught up in whatever the Leverage team is working on.

This is another one where I'm hoping that it's a rare combination. I think that Stella and Gibbs are a great combination. Easily brought together through there jobs, they would be a great combo -- especially if they are working at opposite ends at first. In the fic that will (probably) never be written, Gibbs and company would be in NY investigating the death of several Marines. Mac, in some way that would require an actual formed plot at this point, is some how implicated in the deaths. Stella (and the lab) would be working to prove that Mac isn't involved, Gibbs (and company) would be following evidence that says Mac is involved. Mac wouldn't be cooperating with either group (the plot would explain it all). The fact that Stella wouldn't blink in the face of Gibb's onslaught would make the fic worth writing. Confrontation between these two would be awesome. In the end, Gibbs would come up with the evidence that will clear Mac but he would need Stella's help in clearing everything up.

Myria suggested this one to me. I wondered aloud who I should match up with Casey and her first thought was Lisbon from The Mentalist. I said that he needed someone more physical, more action oriented and she said "Parker". Once thought was in my head, I couldn't get rid of it. The thought of Casey faced with Parker is wonderful. In the fic that will (probably) never be written, Casey would meet Parker during a black bag operation. While both of them would get out with what they came for, it would nag at the both of them that the other was there. This fic has very little plot beyond that at the moment. Except that Casey would really, really have his hands full with Parker.

This pair has been a favorite of mine for a while. I love the idea of having Hotch dealing with Ellen. Hotch is so straight laced, so very by the book, so sure of everything in his world that tossing him in with Ellen would add a lovely uncertainty to him. Ellen is strong and competent and kick ass, but she is also hip-deep into vigilante and do-it-yourself justice. I've actually written a fic with these two that I love -- Rain Check and there is more between them that will probably be written. Actually, Ellen has several stories that will need to be finished. Quite honestly, she's the only female character that calls me when I sit down to write fic.
