partly: (Save Me)

Looking for some help...

My lovely hubby, [livejournal.com profile] mosestaff, is going to take this week long comic class at the Minneapolis College of Art + Design the second week in August.

He will be needing a inexpensive but nice place to stay while taking the class. Myr and I won't be going with him, so it don't have to have a pool or the like, but some place that offers breakfast and a safe neighborhood will be appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas? Any hints?

Thanks!

OK; Here's the deal. Linda and I live 29 miles out of the center of the city and it's across the river so traffic can be a pain in the butt. That said, we have a spare room that's plenty small and perhaps uncomfortable (in case he couldn't accept a stranger's hospitality without having it be a horrible experience to even out his discomfort) and it's painted in two shades of pink! He would be welcome to come and go as he pleases, and would in no way be obligated to be sociable if that wasn't his bag.

I'm of course offering this to you as all I know about him is that he spells his name funny, but if you love him I guess I can trust him without reservation. He'd only need to supply his own food, not drink alcohol or smoke at the house and not snore so loud the neighbor's dog kennel comes to life at 3am and makes me angry.

This is not a jest and though I'm sure it makes you uncomfortable, I'm saying it anyway. He's more than welcome here for a week, and if you choose to turn me down, please don't do it because you think I'm not serious or that I'm just trying to be nice for some backslapping reward at a later date. I'm offering it altruistically; I have the space, it goes unused, you and I are "friends" of a sort, there's no reason not to.

Tell him, let him think about it, get back to me. It's the most inexpensive place I can think of, though he'll spend a few bucks in gas in any case. And if it's no, no worries, and good luck with the search.
