Meme Lemming: 5 fandoms meme

Thought I'd do a meme because I should be sleeping but I have to wait for the laptop to finish installing XP....

Five Fandoms Meme
Choose five series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.

1. Man from UNCLE
2. A-Team
3. 24
4. Bones
5. CSI:NY

1. Which is your favorite series from your list?
Depends on the moment, really. I have a hard time choosing five, (I mean I left off SG1, Equalizer, Early Edition, I Spy, even Firefly! What makes you think I can narrow it down further?

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 (MFU) and 4 (Bones), who would they be?
I don't ship, and I'm not going to start with those two shows, but… I'd like to see Illya and Napoleon meet Booth and Bones. I have no idea how to make the time travel problems work, but it would be fun to see them in action.

3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3 (24)'s plotline?
Wow…24 has a million plotlines and, while they aren't always the ones I would have written, they make the show good. I think… I wish there was a way to have changed Terri's death. I know there isn't because it would have completely altered the show (and not for the better) but I would have liked it to be different. They only other death I would have changed would be Tony's – and if the press is to believed, they are going to change that in the upcoming season.

4. If both main characters of 2 (A-Team) and 5 (CSI:NY) were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Whoever it is from CSI:NY because no one on the A-Team is ever seriously hurt, and would, moth than likely, will build their way out of it. I would like to know what plot gets both someone from CSI:NY and the A-Team not only on top of the same cliff, but falling off it.

5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1 (MFU)?
Hmm… the campiness that took over the show. There was some real stupidity that entered the show in the later seasons. However, Illya and Napoleon are always fun to watch, it's just that camp is most likely to pull me out of the show.

6. Which is your least favorite character of 2 (A-Team)?
Tawnia. Perhaps, Stockwell – nah, I like Stockwell as a character. Tawnia has no value, there is nothing that you can do with her without making her completely OOC.

7. I refuse to acknowledge the original question, so I made up my own – If a main character from 3 (24) where to get in a fight with a character from 5 (CSI:NY), what would it be about?
(Note to self: when you make up questions for a meme, make them easier to answer). I was temepted to say it would be Jack vs. Mac, but I don't think the two would actually fight because they would recognize the danger in each other. On the other hand I can totally see Flack getting into a fight with Jack -- and it would definately be that Jack would want to do something and Flack would try to arrest him. It would end badly.

8. What song reminds you of 4 (Bones)?
Hmm… "Beer for My Horses" by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson. Actually it doesn't "remind" me of it, as in I don't automatically think of Bones when I hear it, rather I think that the general theme of justice and "getting the bad guys" fits the overall attitude of Bones and Booth. Not so much the rest of team, but definitely Bone and Booth. Besides which, I'd love to hear Bones' anthropological explanation of it.

9. Of 1 (MFU), 3 (24), and 5 (CSI:NY), which is the easiest to think about?
I'm not sure what "easiest" means. Each one is fun to think about in their own way. I think that 24 is the "hardest" fandom to both watch and write about but it allows for a darker view of the world without twisting either the characters or the "atmosphere" of the show.

10. Are the protagonists of 2 (ATeam) and 4 (Bones) similar?
Heh. No. But they would be a fun mix. Brennen, from Bones, is unlike any other character anywhere, actually. There is a possibility that Hannibal (A-Team) and Booth (Bones) would have some similarities, but they would be "solider" related, not personality related, really.

This would be an easier meme if I would have chosen shows from the same era's. Granted 24, Bones and CSI:NY are all from "our time" but then 24's universe, what with nuclear detonations in California and active terrorist attacks in the US places it firmly in an alternate timeline.

Still fanfic allows for some extra suspension of disbelief and I've always wanted to do a 24/CSI:NY crossover.

If I can do an A-Team/CSI crossover.....

Heh. I think TAT works fairly well if you bring them forward. Hannibal definitely reads like someone who would be physically active into his 70-80's because I don't see any reason to give him the same cancer that George Peppard had. And since, in my timeline, nothing evil happens to any of the team and I don't see them falling into angst-filled depression/paranoia, it could be done.

I was thinking, when dealing with MFU, I could do a split time thing, with the two of them working on the same case but never really meeting. The people in the "present" could easily have records of what the MFU people did, so they would be some nods to the characters. It wouldn't exactly be a crossover, but it would work with out doing time travel.

That said, I have a partially written MFU/Blake's 7 crossover. That, of course, is a time travel thing.
