Fic: Fear of Flying (A-Team, R)

Title: Fear of Flying
Fandom: A-Team
Characters: BA Baracus, HM Murdock, Templeton "Face" Peck, Hannibal Smith, Amy Allan
Genre: Gen
Rating: R
Word Count: 5825
Warnings/Spoilers: Dark, Non-graphic violence, Violence against women/children
Disclaimer: Fanfic
Notes: I always wondered why BA was afraid of flying, so I wrote this to explain it. I wrote it at least 10 years ago, and it's been around on ff.net for about as long.

BA's fear of flying had to come from somewhere. It's a secret that he only share's with the Team and it may end up killing them all. )

GIP, again

Another GIP. Murdock, this time. Another scene from "Trouble with Harry".

I think I may have to rewatch the ep after doing screen caps from it...

Meme Lemming: 30 Days of TV - 12

Day 12 - An episode you've watched more than 5 times

I've watched entire series 5 times. And in every series that I like and have copies of there's at least one (if not two or three) episodes that I've watched 5 times.

I love rewatching episodes. I love watching them back-to-back, I love knowing the lines as they're coming up and when all the good parts are. There's something comforting about rewatching a favorite show.

Right now I'm re-watching the entire series of The A-Team and I'm sure that I've seen every one of those eps five times each. This includes "The Quarterback Sneak" or "The Crystal Skull". Because even as bad as those two are, they still have some really good moments in them. And it really doesn't feel right to skip them in the "play all" feature.

Why else do you buy a show on DVD unless you plan on watching it over and over?

And tonight? Tonight I make at least two TV A-Team icons. If not four.

The A-Team!

Got to see The A-Team movie today. I really enjoyed it. I'm a TAT fan from way back so I geeked out over references that no one else got. Granted you didn't need to get the references, but I was happy to see all the shout outs that were put in for the long-time fans.

No spoilers beyond what you get from the trailer, but enter at own risk )

There is no plan B, YAY!

Of all the movies coming out this year, I most want to see "The A-Team". TAT was my first online fandom and I think I've written the most fic for it. It also has the most WIPs including my biggest unfinished story, Blackbird.

What really draws me into this movie is that the characters feel right. Despite being played by different actors, the characters are all very true to who they were -- or in BA's case who they should have been had the characters actually been allowed to be something other than an icon.

I also love that the trailer was obviously well thought out and excellently cut together. It mixes the drama with the comedy and uses the theme song to maximum effect.

I will also admit to my biggest "Glee-factor" for this film: Crossovers. With the original Team set in the 80s the crossover potential was limited. I've seen some stories that make it work, but with this movie the possibilities are unlimited.

ETA: Why, oh why, don't I have an A-Team icon?

Fic: Beta Beware (A-Team, PG)

Title: Beta Beware
Fandom: A-Team
Characters: HM Murdock, Face
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG
Warnings/Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: Fanfic, for fun, not profit.
Notes: Sorry to all those who just said so many nice things about my SG-1 fic, it's in my old fanfic grounds the A-Team. It's silly and a little piece in honor of Beta Appreciation Day that's coming up on Wednesday and to answer the challenge to use the (totally ridiculous) line: "That's fascinating." He said, sounding fascinated.

It was a dark and stormy night when, suddenly, a shot rang out )
