There is this song that's my favorite song right now. It's called "I Don't Wanna Talk About It Now". And while the exact subject of the song doesn't pertain at all to me, I love the refrain.
I rarely like to talk about things... ok, personal things. The things that are bothering me and causing stress in my life. It also helps that, in those rare moments when I would be willing to talk, no one is around that I can talk to. And since those moments are as fleeting as they are rare, by the time someone is around to talk to, I no longer want to talk.
Especially since by that time I come to the obvious conclusion that they only thing I'd be talking about is my own rampant stupidity.
Somehow I just don't feel like sharing that.
Maybe I relate more to the song than I would like to admit:
I tried to swim that river
And get to higher ground
I been three times under
The next one'll see me drown
But I don't want to talk about it now
I don't want to talk about it now
I don't want to talk about it now
I wanna go down
Nah... I don't want to go down.
I just don't want to talk about it now.
Which, of course, is exactly why I have a journal.
Heh.
