My dog, Thor (a Bichon Frise) is blind. It's really a long story that I have always planned on sharing, but that will be a different entry, it is only important that you are aware that Thor is blind.

Tonight I came home and when I was petting him I discovered (much to my annoyance) that he has somehow allowed himself to become the mode of transport for a local Flea Circus. Not wanting my dog to be tempted away from us by the lure of the wild life the circus offers, I immediately set about throughly cleaning my house and bathing him in a shampoo that guaranteed the immediate and horrible death for all the small blood sucking creatures that were currently calling him home.

I also moved his kennel to a new place so that I could vacuum the carpeting when it usually is a couple of days in a row without having to drag the large metal cage out of it's corner.

Well, as it is now very late and time to head to bed, Wil lets him out and when he lets Thor back in he automatically tells him to "Kennel". Thor obediently trots over to his usually corner, pauses a second, hops into a kennel that is no longer there and sits down, waiting for us to close the gate. Wil walks in and Thor just stares at him. Wil calls him to come out and Thor looks at him for a moment, jumps out (just as he would in order to jump over the lip of the kennel) and stands there looking confused.

Poor pup.

He's now all curled up in his kennel in the kitchen, sleeping. But I'm sure tomorrow he'll end up "hopping" back into a kennel that isn't there anymore.
