More things that make me smile...
Nov. 15th, 2005 06:56 pmMyr is applying for the Accelerated Art program at her school. Last year she applied but was turned down because her portfolio wasn't "finished" enough. After she had Art Class toward the end of the year, though, they picked her for a short art class where she got to create an oil painting in the impressionistic style -- a kind of autobiographical painting, actually. This year she has a lot more finished pieces to put in, along with several clay pieces that she's done... most of them out of the polymer clay that
finabair gave her. Yay, JenJenn!
In the application process, she has to state why she would be a good candidate for the program. This is what she wrote:
My dad love to draw, my mom loves to write, my granny sews and paints and my grandma is an upholsterer and decorator. All my life I have been surrounded by artistic abilities of all types. That is why I want to go above the normal art; I want to be like the ones I love.
Oh, yeah. I think I'll keep her.
*grin*
