Better Now....
Nov. 20th, 2007 11:26 pmI was feeling... badly. Alternating between depressed and angry and argumentative and snide.
Probably best that I was home most of the night by myself, huh?
I'm suffering from sleep deprivation, but I just can't bring myself to sleep so I occupied my time surfing the web and annoying myself with what I found there. (Don't worry, it wasn't on my flist!)
Then I was talking to wonderful
finabair and she mentioned that she was listening the Christmas music... and it occurred to me that perhaps looking for things to annoyed with wasn't the best way to get out of my funk.
So I made an icon. I could do a whole post someday about how holsteins are the most beautiful of all cows. Sure Brown Swiss have that whole "cuddly" thing going for them and beef cattle are so solid and all, but holsteins are all lean and angles. Every farm should have a holstein, just to stand out there and give a little class to the place.
But I digress, even though my icon has one of the aforementioned holsteins, the point of the post is to say that I have managed to remove myself from my funk by listening to my Christmas music. I am restraining myself, and a not going to put up my blow up Christmas Pooh Bear until Thanksgiving. Or at least not until tomorrow because I don't want to put it out in the dark. *grin*
Right now, on my iTunes, I can play just Christmas songs for 1.8 days without repeating a track. I can't say "without repeating a song" because that is a different matter altoghter. See, I have just imported all of my (and my mom's) Christmas albums without editing out any songs. This means that, since almost everyone puts on one or two traditions carols on every album I have a few songs that are repeated once or twice... or more. Away in the Manger is remarkably popular with 24 different artists recording versions of it. It, however, doesn't come close to matching that most famous of all German Christmas Songs --Silent Night. I have 33 different versions of that song.
I love them all. Wil wasn't home so I blasted the songs. I played some Jewel Quest. I sang.
I am much better now.
*grin*
