partly: (No One Gets Hurt)
Life has not slowed down in the past two weeks.

I haven't been home. I kid you not when I tell you that I've spent less than an hour a night at home (sleeping doesn't count but if it did, that would only add 5 or 6 hours to that nightly total). When I am home, things keep breaking. Things like my computer and my television and my internet service. *headdesk*

I would go into details, but it would just tire me and there are a few details that it would be best to forget, so I will not be putting them down in ink (or electronic images, as the case may be). Besides, I don't regret doing the things I've been doing (helping out my folks and Myr, mostly), I just want some "me" time.

I know, all I ever do is whine. I may have time to finish decorating/cleaning the house tonight (note: this is the project that was "almost finished" at Thanksgiving and haven't touched since). I will finish up Christmas shopping tomorrow and then wrap the gifts and what not. Thank God for a weekend before Christmas, however, my first Christmas party is Sunday, so it's not quite a full weekend. The only true blessing is that no one comes to our house for Christmas. Yay!

I thought I'd share a couple of photos I took the other day. They had just put more water on the local outdoor ice rink and, as it was about 10 below, the water was just steaming off. The sun was just coming up and it was a beautiful sight.
