Today (Wednesday) I did something I rarely ever do: I went home sick.

Wednesday's are rather laid back at work. It is my "maintenance" day; no teaching in the morning, just work on the computer.

I was running a fever, somewhat dizzy, yadda, yadda. Now normally I would just tough it out. It's really hard to get a sub that can handle the computers and I usually do well enough when I'm actually working with the kids.

Only I didn't want to do that today. And I really didn't want to be spreading my germs around to all the kids. Then there's the fact that not getting better will mean I will be sick just in time for Christmas... Ugh, officially.

So I came home and slept for 5 hours. And I'm planning on going to bed right now and sleep again. Feeling better is good.

I did force myself to be awake long enough to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. Torture, that.

Feel good enough to go to work in the AM. I think Wil was hoping that I would stay home tomorrow because it's his day off, but Thursdays are harder to miss than Wednesdays and I am feeling better.

But I did feel good enough to take a quiz:

Being a male is not always easy. I thought of at least a dozen clever witticisms as concerns the "taste" meme, but as is probably obvious not that I mentioned it, innocent as they might have been they all seemed a little too much like an invitation to a "slap upside the head" party. So I'll just say "Hope ya get well soon lass" and let it go at that:)
