I like Sawyer too, actually. Everyone on the show is throwing all their frustration at their situation at him, really, and he is a kind of a pressure valve for them as a result, even though nobody's evidently aware of it. And I agree that it's hard to hate someone who hates himself so much. He's practically a walking, talking sermon, that man is. He's in the middle of what could be an important lesson, but at this point could jump either way and either learn or become a truly horrible person. He's not actually TO "horrible" yet. He wouldn't be so interesting if he were. I'd hate to be stuck alone on the island with him, but there are FAR worse people to wind up stuck with, IMO.
'course, I rather thought the woman whose name I ought to know by now shouldn't have argued with him so much - just walked up and given him a nice, motherly kiss on the forehead when he asked. After all, he never did specify what kind of kiss, and he actually respects creativity in responses.
