Is it possible to make Sawyer any more tragic?

I mean, the man does dark, brooding and mournful as well (if not better) than anyone on television, but really! Couldn't the man have one, single happy thing happen to him?

He is living, breathing, walking Shakespearean character. The only thing Hamlet had that this boy doesn't (besides a English accent) is that Hamlet had a true love he could lose. Otherwise... OMG. And in the end, Hamlet only had to deal with a ghost not some mad boar that keeps chasing him through the jungle.

And now Sawyer has this new secret? Like this guy needs any more emotional baggage to carry around. And you just know that not doing the "right thing" -- and trust me Sawyer is very, very aware of exactly what the right things is -- is going to eat him up. Sawyer better not end up telling all in some nifty, heroic death scene or I'm gonna cry.

The one thing that bothers me about them all being on this island (apart from the thought that they may all be dead already and this is just a type of purgatory - and what a rip that would be) is that they won't be able to get off the Island. I'd dearly love to see Sawyer go after the guy who sent him to Australia. Mostly because Sawyer does dangerous really well, too, but also because these people are are learning and growing and discovering nifty new things about themselves. And while getting a chance to do that before being sorted in to an afterlife would be handy, as a viewer I'd much rather see them face their demons in the real world.

Still. Love Sawyer. Even if it is a tragic, broody kind love.
