Although I have yet to put up all my decorations (that's tomorrow), but tonight we rang bells for the Salvation Army outside of Walmart.
It was 9˚f (-13˚c) when we started and 2 (-17˚c) when we finished. Not too bad considering it's December in Wisconsin. Of course, we're smart and dress warm. It helped that the wind wasn't blowing too much, wind chill never got below -10˚f (-23˚c) What really saved us (besides the fur hats) was the little hand warmers that you can get. It was nice to have them in the gloves to keep the fingers warm.
I have to admit that I'm a little cold sitting at home right now. And tired too. Cold, fresh air will do that to a person. My hands are sore though, from ringing the bell.
But it was nice. And fun. Well worth doing.
Merry Christmas!
