I'm probably way off base here, but Middleman has an artist as a main character. I'm particularly thinking of the last few minutes of most of the episodes when she's back in her loft and painting images from her adventures. There's also the ArtCrawl! episode...
The first season Bones episode where Cullen's artistic daughter is hospitalized and dying from the cancerous bone graft. The kid is a good artist, and there's the bit with Angela where she digitizes the girl's art, or when she sets up the virtual tour of the Louvre.
Dead Poets is *fantastic*, I highly, highly recommend it whenever you get the chance. There's a "climb up on your desks" scene that has forever altered my thinking processes and view of the world.
