Why? Why did it take two years for Chuck to finally hit it's stride? Two years, on the brink of cancellation and it finally becomes the show it really can be.
The sad part is, usually with two season shows, I can say "I at least have two seasons of the show that I love". But I don't in this case. I just don't know if I will rewatch the early episodes -- in fact I haven't even seen a couple of the first season episodes at all. I found the whole "Buy More" crowd way too annoying.
More than that, I really hated Sara in the first season. Even though I think she's the weakest of the main characters, I like her better now. Now that they've stopped using her as a reason to make Chuck stupid or jealous or act like a brain-addled love-sick puppy. Yeah. It's a good bet that I'm not going to be going back and watching the early episodes much.
I do have to say this: I couldn't love Casey more if he showed up at my door offering decorating advice and handing me million dollar checks.
I just have one request if they renew Chuck -- bring Scott Bakula on as a regular. That man needs to be on my television screen on a regular basis. The only way I will possibly accept him not being on Chuck is if he gets his own series. Something with a lot of drama, a little comedy and a whole lot of Scott.
A girl can dream, can't she?
