RotK clock!

Last year, around March sometime, I discovered that there was this place called Countdown Clocks where you can have them create computer clocks that countdown the number of days to a important event. They also provide some free clocks for you to download that countdown to openings of movies and releases of DVDs.

I immediately downloaded the TTT clock and for more than 9 months I watched it countdown to the 18th.

Now, once a week since the movie opened, I've been popping back in because right now my pretty little TTT clock just says 00 00 00 and I really want a ROTK clock. Other people must be doing the same thing because they now have up that they will have an ROTK clock up on the 22. YAY! More obsessiveness.

The cool part is the last couple of countdown clocks they made become regular clocks once the countdown date has passed. Which means I will never see a 00 00 00 on my ROTK clock and can keep it forever if I want.

Not that I would.

Unless it was really pretty.

I'm conflicted

I belonged to fandom_wank before it was disallowed. I never posted anything. And I sometimes thought that they (as in the people who did post there) should you know, relax, a little -- especially when, rather than noting the ridiculous obsessiveness of fandom they obviously strayed into personal disagreements. It had it's moments, but I wasn't all that bothered when it was suspended. It's a big web, after all, and lj has the right to do whatever it wants to in it's little playground. And although I did follow f_w's travels from here YahooGroups to Blurty and DeadJournal, it was more out of curiosity in seeing the ridiculousness that fandom can be than actual interest in posting on it.

Still. I want this. I really do. I love the whole Mock MockMockMock Mockity-Mock-Mock thing. I'm rather snide and snarky in my real life, and although I tend not to mock in public or when people may actually care about my opinions of them, I've been known to mock with the best of them.

So, do I really need another tote? A bright yellow tote that will forever label me as an irredeemable blasphemer against fandom?

I think, yes.
