I belonged to fandom_wank before it was disallowed. I never posted anything. And I sometimes thought that they (as in the people who did post there) should you know, relax, a little -- especially when, rather than noting the ridiculous obsessiveness of fandom they obviously strayed into personal disagreements. It had it's moments, but I wasn't all that bothered when it was suspended. It's a big web, after all, and lj has the right to do whatever it wants to in it's little playground. And although I did follow f_w's travels from here YahooGroups to Blurty and DeadJournal, it was more out of curiosity in seeing the ridiculousness that fandom can be than actual interest in posting on it.

Still. I want this. I really do. I love the whole Mock MockMockMock Mockity-Mock-Mock thing. I'm rather snide and snarky in my real life, and although I tend not to mock in public or when people may actually care about my opinions of them, I've been known to mock with the best of them.

So, do I really need another tote? A bright yellow tote that will forever label me as an irredeemable blasphemer against fandom?

I think, yes.

*thinks* ow.

You know, this is probably why people in college used to think we were fighting all the time. It was all the mocking.

I still can't believe how many people thought we hated each other. And the funny part was, it was people who supposedly knew us. Total strangers and casual acquaintances never seemed to form that opinion.

Strange.

Yeah, I think their brains are just programmed differently than ours. Thus, affectionate mockery is not seen as affection, but rather aggression. And they prolly couldn't figure out why we put up with it from each other.

Which, actually, might explain what happened to f_w, in a nutshell. It was just misunderstood.

That bag is TOTALLY you, BTW. Right down to the obnoxiously bright-cheery yellow color.

This is why one former member of the Loop's sister's professor declared their interaction as having a "sick dynamic". Fen in general tend to talk together, talk over one another, finish one another's sentences, and generally relate in ways that, apparently, are often found to be rude in the general population.

I even like it and I HATE yellow. Great bag. Useful. Cheerful. Get one! :-)
