I'm such a kid...

After a winter of no snow, we finally got some.

And with the snow came a snow day.

Yay me and the kid. Not so yay husband who has to drive through snow and freezing rain (the real reason for the school closing) in order to get to work.

Still -- I can take all day to shovel!

Going back to sleep now.

Yep. I love snow days.

The unfortunate thing was I was shoveling snow when she sent the IM. And since we're forecast to get another 8 - 10 inches, I may be shoveling quite a bit more in the near future...

You know, my life is actually much more interesting than I post in here. Well, maybe not more interesting, but definitely more full.

So here are a few things that I have been thinking about commenting on and just haven't gotten around to putting on the screen.

We've been ill lately. Well, really my daughter has been ill lately. ( She's had both Strep and the Flu )

It's my parents 40th anniversary and they are having a big shindig this Sat. As a present my brother and I are making them a video of pictures set to music. Now my brother had suggested that we take it to a place here in town that puts that sort of thing together but we have the ability to do that sort of thing on our computer, so we've got a deadline fast approaching. It's worth it though, it would cost us 90 cents a pic to have them do it and with no price limit we're up to 20 minutes and over 200 pictures. ( Still, I really hate doing secret projects for my mother. )

Ok. That may not be a lot. But I've shared enough for one night. And all that shoveling this morning has made me very tired. And Myr has just wondered out of her room saying something about having to turn off all the lights. I don't think she's really awake, but I'll take it as a sign to go to bed.

Damn! Forgot...

While in WalMart this afternoon, I picked up some Valentine's Day cards for Myr to give in school. She wanted Pooh Bear and after much searching I found them.

But more importantly I found Lord of the Rings Valentine's Day cards. I gave into my inner fangirl and bought them immediately. They are foil and look very cool. I'll see if I can find a pic on line or scan them in. Not sure if the foil would scan well tho.

Still, yay, me.

I may even have to send some out to people.
