Thoughts on the Day:
Jul. 29th, 2004 10:51 pmToday is:
National Lasagna Day
Cadillac - General Motors Anniversary 1909
Chicken Wings Day 1979
NASA's Birthday 1958
National Lipstick Day
I like lasagna, but I didn't have any today. Missed out. My dad makes the best lasagna. He retired a year before my mom did, and since then he has done he share of the cooking. He also makes the best chocolate chip cookies. I also like chicken wings. There's a little place in Wausau that lets you place a trivia game while there. It's lots of fun.
NASA! Yay, NASA. We need more NASA. Space is cool.
I've never owened a Caddy. And I don't have any overwhelming desire to do so. They are a cool car, but to me, a car is a car. You drive it. That's not to say that I don't appreciate good cars, but I don't see me buying a caddy. If I would ever win the lottery I would think of splurging on a car. Then I would buy 1965 corvette. Not that I'm a big 'vette fan, mind you. But I do love that car.
Still, if we're talking about enough money to buy ANY car... I want a Duesenberg. Pictures are here, here (my favorite), here and here. If you're interested, you can learn about the history. I saw (and sat in) a real Duesenberg once in my life. I was about 4 or so. I remember that car. No car has the class of a Duesenberg. And with only 650 cars ever made, it would take all the lottery winning just to buy it.
But it'd be worth it, you know, 'cuz its a DOOZY!
Hee.
