Ok, first of all Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day? A WALK? OK. Really. Who comes up with these things? We'll start with the fact that my house lacks sufficient light to grow any houseplants, but if it did why would I talk them for a walk? They are houseplants for a reason, people. I mean, the point of house plants are for them to be in the house. Why is this? Because being outside will usually KILL them. Not only would you feel (and look) stupid, but you will kill the plants. Way to go, day!
And you know what? It's some sort of vegetarian week, right? So why, do we have Hamburger Day in the middle of that week? And if the day was first, why choose this week for the vegetarian, thingy? I'm sensing either blatant stupidity or political maneuvering. More than likely both.
On the up side, I'm geeky enough to appreciate that the first finger print was taken today, but I also know enough about finger prints to know that it's not true. I mean, it could be true, if I knew what they meant by "first finger prints". I may have to look into a more detailed list of "special holidays" if I want more info. Ok. I'm tired. Shopped all day for school supplies for Myr (and just a few things for me). Spent more than I'd like to, but the kid's very excited and, heck, that's worth it all. She's gonna love Middle School.
I'm not really fond of the idea.
