More proof my husband loves me: He went to Madison today and stopped at the big bookstore. He bought me two books: English version Manga of Cowboy Bebop and Lupin. Wonderful. I really wish I had the English version of City Hunter... Maybe will have to look for that.
He also picked up the lasted Inquest and Scrye magazines (magazines on collectible card games and the like) and it had -- as usual -- free stuff in it. One of them came with a pack of cards for some new game. One of the cards was a "Sword of Striking". The description: "A magic weapon of keen intelligence that guides its blade to the target". Do you suppose there is also a "Sword of Missing"? That being "A magic weapon of massive stupidity that couldn't hit the broadside of a barn"?
It's like the name of a small church in the neighboring town: "The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish". As opposed, I suppose, to "The UNholy name of Jesus Catholic Parish" or even "The Holy Name of Satan Catholic Parish".
*shakes head*
It's late and this is the overwhelmingly intelligent thing I chose to post about.
Of course, my real life is fairly busy. I did get a contract for next year (Yay me) but I seem to have about ten projects due in the next week and a half that may (or may not) determine if that contract stays valid. Oh.. and my daughter tested positive for strep AGAIN.
I chose not to dwell on that right now.
I think I will go and read Cowboy Bebop. I need some Spike right now.
