Actually, they were never that whiny. You always had a tendency to project your own early morning whiny-ness onto the music.

They were SO whiny. And you admitted it at the time. The stupid radio station played WHINY music while you were in the shower and NOT TURNING IT OFF, which is why I DAMAGED MYSELF rolling off the top bunk trying to get rid of the awful sound.

Trauma like that never really goes away, you know. *sniffle*
