I was reading an interview with Joseph Mallozzi, executive producer of Stargate SG-1 (found here). When asked what his favorite SG1 ep was, he said:
My favorite Stargate episode is 2010. In scifi in general, I’ve always enjoyed stories that allow us a glimpse into what the future could be like. How did things turn out for our characters? The episode offered a very interesting prospect for the future of SG-1, not to mention a terrific Blakes 7-ish ending.
So love the B7 reference.
And I so want that series on DVD. Really, really want it.

Date: 2005-01-05 03:36 pm (UTC)From:B7 was really my first fandom. It was the first show I plugged at cons (I met my husband at a Blake's Seven viewing party). We watched VHS tapes that were like sixth generation copies and the video quality was so bad we couldn't tell that they switched actors for Travis! It was the first show I read and wrote fic for (and I still think it has the highest percentage of good fic of any show I've seen). It introduced to cons and I got to meet almost all the actors of the show.
*sigh* I love that show.

I love what HUGE geeky fanboys the folks making this show are.
