Wil's birthday today. It was good.
I ordered his gifts off Amazon and forgot to finalize the order and it sat, doing nothing, until I suddenly thought "Gosh, I wonder why the gifts haven't arrived yet?". Why not? Because I didn't really ORDER them. BAH!
So I quickly finalized the order (adding season three of 24 as I did so), but there was no way I'd have a gift for him in time, I bugged down to the little bookstore here in town (because you know, my car will not drive to Wausau without dying) and managed to find two nice things for him.
Yay, me.
I was spared making a big meal because my mom offered. Also, Yay, me.
We had one of our very large, homegrown chickens, stuffed. Garden squash and garden potatoes (the last of them from last year), cucumbers, gravy, chocolate cake and French Silk Pie for dessert.
Very good.
It was fun. And yummy.
(You know, I made this hat Icon with Wil in mind. He looks that good in his hat, too. LOVE LOVE LOVE men in hats. Especially, Wil)
