Assignment from
finabair, who already knows that I'm weird enough to provide answers that no one else will mention.
01) Total volume of music files on my computer?
1587 songs, 3.7 days, 4.98 GB This is not my little Mac Labtop, mind. That doesn't have enough hard drive space for that much music. When I get my new Mac, I'm sure I'll have a lot more on. And this includes 578 songs, 1.1 days, 1.52 GB of Christmas music that I'm not listening to right now.
02) The last CD I bought was...
The 24 Soundtrack by Sean Callery.
03a) The last song I listened to before writing this was...
Last Laugh Coming Down by Mark Knopfler from Sailing to Philadelphia. I bought it off of iTunes after I heard it on Roswell. You know, I bought three different songs off of iTunes because they played them as the closing tunes on Roswell. I do the same thing with Lost. Odd, that.
03b) Song playing right now:
Keep Me in Your Heart - Warren Zevon (The Wind)
Question: Who numbered these things? 3a? 3b? Why not just move onto 4 right away?
04) Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me.
This is difficult because they vary according to mood and if I just want background music... Plus this is just what I have on my computer right now and I know there are songs out there I like but I don't have on here. And it doesn't cover the songs that I sing with Myr when she's having a hard time dealing with the world and we spend some quiet time together. Nor does it include those songs that I sing when I feeling overwhelmed and stressed and need something to keep the dark unknowns from overwhelming me. Heh. So I just pick five I've got on my computer in my "obsessive" playlist.
1) My Baby Needs a Shepard, Emmylou Harris (Red Dirt Girl)
2) Stuff that Works, Guy Clark (Dublin Blues)
3) Vertigo - U2 (How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb)
4) Lord I hope This Day Is Good, Don Williams (The Definitve Collection)
5) When I'm Gone - 3 Doors Down (Away from the Sun)
And because I want to add it and can't think of what one I'd take off (and who I am to follow instructions, anyhow?)
6) Burgers and Fries - Charley Pride
Yeah, I'll stop now. Even though I thought of three other's I want to add...
05) Which 5 people are you passing this baton to, and why?
You know, I don't do chain letters in any form. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm breaking the chain, how could I be so heartless? ... there just isn't enough 'Whatever' in the world to cover that. Besides, who do I chose? Is it a complement to be included or a relief not to be? I know, I'm thinking about this too much. Anyhow, I am not passing the baton. Deal. As I as said, I don't follow orders well.
However, this is kind of a 'what do you think' question and no one is promising evil to befall anyone who doesn't (or does) do it. Keeping in mind that there is no obligation and I haven't asked anyone if this would be ok -- I would like see what my flist has to say.
If you would like to do it, feel free to do it. I will look forward to your answers. And if you don't have time or you just don't want to do it? Also cool.
