Tonight is oddly stressful and sad. No reason really. Well, nothing new at least. It's affection everyone in the house, though.

So, some good thoughts:

We saw Narina last night. Absolutely loved it. It was incredible. We will have to see it again.

Myr made it into Accelerated Art. Yesterday she spend the entire school day painting props and scenery for the upcoming middle school play, The Wizard of Oz. She painted the cow that will be tossed about during the tornado.

Tonight she auditioned for a part in the above play. She would like the be the Wicked Witch, but would be happy to have a smaller part. If she doesn't get a part at all, she still wants to be part of the crew. She's a good kid.

Monday after school is the first forensics meet of the year. Myr is doing a monologue called "Thoughts during a boring sermon". It's very cute.

Tuesday is the Christmas band concert. Myr plays clarinet and thinks she's doing "pretty good", which is rare for her, she usually thinks she's doing poorly. She got an A in band, so the teacher much think she's doing "pretty good", too.

Monday is also the night to sign up for the county sponsored "Safety Classes" -- Hunter Safety, Snowmobile Safety, Boat Safety and ATV Safety. My dad said that he would take the Hunter Safety class with her when she took it, as *he* never had any. I took them when I was 12 and she's been bugging me to make sure she can take it. Next year she will want to go hunting. I will have to start saving now, because hunting is *not* cheap. I'm almost thinking that she would prefer bow hunting, but I don't see that happening for a while.

Myr is writing Christmas cards and sending them all to the littler kids of the family. She's better at that then I, I haven't sent out cards in years. I was going to work on them tonight, but just didn't have the spirit to do so.

Saturday Wil is running a Redemption tournament up here in Wausau. He and Myr always play in them while I go write somewhere. This weekend I think I will do a little shopping. Myr was recently given a guitar. Not a cheap on, either. A very nice, acoustic guitar with a great sound. I need to find a good book that will introduce her to playing it.

Heh.

As usual, my good thoughts are all about Myr.

Redemption is a CCG - Collectible Card Game. Magic is probably the most well known of that type of game. Redemption is Bible based, with the players trying to rescue "lost souls" for themselves and keeping the other players from doing the same. The cards are all based on Biblical characters, places and events.

It's a fun, fast moving game and if a good game even if you don't happen to be religious.

I don't play much because I get too invested in winning. I try to keep a rein on my competitive nature most times. *grin*

I stopped playing those games because of people like you lol. I tried teaching my wife to play 500, a suit/trump card game, and she took everything so personally that I finally gave up on games:) I have a pack of original magic cards. I spose when I die some relative will find and sell them for a hundred bucks.

Your daughter is wonderful.

I'm sorry about the sad evening.

I'm glad you loved Narnia. Everyone else has too, and I'm looking forward to seeing it.
