In English, Myria is studying poetry and they had to write a "Poetry Booklet" with different kinds of poems. I love poetry, I just not very good at it. Well, I'm okay with small things. Like haikus. I love haikus, and I can write a decent one of them. Sometimes.
Anyhow, as a proud parent, I thought I'd share her poems. I like the two Five Senses Poems and the seed haiku the best, but they are all good.
Myr Poems
Five Senses Poem
Sadness
Sadness is black
It smells like brunt cookies
It tastes like salt
It feels like a burn
It sounds like a baby crying.
Joy
Joy is yellow
It smells like dew on the grass
It tastes like birthday cake
It feels like a puppy lick
It sounds like a surprise party
Me
I Me Myself
Pictures of fun on the shelf
Loving talking kid
My life is in the mid
Book reading is what I do
I am good at math, too
My puppy, Sadie, loves to play
My birthday is in May
My mom, Becky, and Wil, my dad
Their love for me is no fad
I love to eat an ice cream cone

Of blue red and yellow so bright
I see eternity at the sight of you
Your beautiful light shrouds me in mystery
Dark then the light of the endless space
You pass so slow but so fast
Like a flying rainbow
We will see you again in 76 years Hailey
