I've seen this meme floating about. I thought I'd play even though I don't think most of my songs would be recognizable. I was surprised, though. I had more "popular" songs show up on the list then I expected. I was also surprised that I didn't get repeats of artists -- I have entire CDs on here and expected to get some repeats. Even though this isn't the computer that has all my old-time country, I had been looking forward to having most of these songs be country songs that no one heard of. That didn't work out! *pout*
Rules:
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random. iTunes on my iBook
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song. (Skip the instrumentals, the remixes and the mashups) I could only use about every 5th song, because this machine is mostly soundtracks
My added Step: If the title of the song is in the first line, replace it with "insert title here".
Step 3: Let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
I may do the "Movie Quote Meme" later, because more poeple could play that one.

Others seem familiar but not enough for me to grab a title...

Date: 2008-02-24 04:54 am (UTC)From:I'm terrible at this meme. Partly becasue my taste in music is quite different than a lot of my flist and partly because I just don't have a memory for such things. I can sing along to a song (although there are those who would rather I not) and lyrics are the main reason I listen to most songs, but I just can't place the words without the music.
