partly: (No One Gets Hurt)
I love this season. I can’t believe that there is only five episodes left!

If Jack wouldn't have been dying, he would have figured out Tony was dirty faster.

Kim's daughter is named Teri. That just about killed me.

Tony should have killed Jack.

So, even before the show started, being partnered with Jack meant certain death. That’s… depressing.

I miss Chloe. She really needs to come back.

The only reason Tony didn't kill Jack was because he believed it when Jack said there was no cure and he was going to die. I just can’t decide if Tony really didn’t want to kill him or if Tony wanted to torture Jack by having Jack die a slow and painful death knowing that it was Tony who defeated him.

Tony still should have killed Jack.

Renee rocks! I still hate that Larry is dead, but her comment that someone should tell his ex-wife and that "It probably should be me" was an extremely telling line.

So, Jonas went rogue within a larger plot of anti-government conspiracy and he’s going to “take one for the team”. I didn’t really think he would do it, but it is consistent with his “my legacy is Starkwood” attitude. I do like that he survives his attempt, though. Within the realm of 24, I don’t have a problem with the plotting and actually like what they are doing.

Tony's betrayal is the only thing that could make Jack take the cure -- Kim will be stopped at the airport and brought back. There is now way Jack will willingly die if he thinks he can still help. Bringing Tony in will be enough of a drive to make Jack want to live.

Tony definitely should have killed Jack.

I think it’s a good thing that Bill died before he found out that Tony was playing him.

When Jack gives orders, everyone listens. It doesn’t matter that Jack is half-dead or that he’s not even remotely in the chain of command.

If the situation had been reversed -- killing Tony would have insured success of Jack's mission -- Jack would have killed Tony. He’s done it before. The only reason he didn’t kill Tony is the infection is making him doubt his first instinct.

The real lesson this episode teaches us: When given a chance, always kill Jack. And then, just to be sure, kill him again. Then cut off his head and bury it under a rock. Drive a stake through his heart and stake his body out in the sun. You know, just to be sure.

Next week: Jonas doesn’t die, Tony gets a little something-something and Jack is pissed.

I am totally loving this season!
