I finally got an A-Team icon made. Well, a TV A-Team icon. Well, not the whole team.

Ok. I finally got my *fail* icon made. Not that today is made of fail, but I love the episode "Trouble with Harry" because poor Face and Murdock are nothing but made of fail in that one. Through no fault of their own, mind.

As with all icons I make, I'm not sure it's any good but I don't know what to do to fix it. I love words on my icons, but words are always a problem.

ETA: Changed it a bit. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] aumbry for her icon links the words look better. Plus I cropped it better.

This is me being late to the party, but what program do you use to make your icons? PS/PSP/GIMP?

I use Photoshop Elements on my daughter's MacBook Pro. I also occasionally Photoshop CS, but the computer that runs on is DOA right now.

I don't use PS all that often, but it does offer a lot of lighting features that are easier to produce in that rather than Paint Shop Pro.

I can't be the super helpful with tips and tricks in PS but I can point you towards [livejournal.com profile] icon_tutorial with their wicked selection of brilliant TEXT TAGS. But definitely check out the rest of their tutorials as well.

However, I can help out when and where I can. =3 I love iconing and making graphics, and am constantly trying to improve my work. The best way to go about it is trial and error.
