I got around to watching Tuesday's White Collar.

Preview thought first: When Peter bursts in to stop Neal from shooting Fowler, all I could think was "That's not fair. Peter got to shoot Fowler already, the least he could do was give Neal the same chance."

On to "Company Man"

Love the opening with Neal and Peter. It may have only been a quarter, but it still was a game between the two of them. I also like that Neal actually didn't know what the FBI was after and love how Jones tossed him a lifeline. So cute. Neal so doesn't like not knowing what everyone else in the room knows.

Love it when Peter goes undercover. Great continuity with Peter's educational background in "Copycat Caffrey". It doesn't surprise me any that Peter got offers from Fortune 500 companies but chose the FBI. Any more than it surprised me Peter turns down promotions to more high profile positions in the FBI to keep working in the White Collar division.

Single or double Windsor? At least Peter has a fashion expert on hand. And Neal helps with the cuff links! Adorable. They are just so natural and comfortable around each other. Also adorable? Peter talking to Elizabeth via the webcam, showing her around the room. Even more adorable? Peter talking to Elizabeth's picture while lounging around in a bathrobe. This couple? These people? Completely adorable!

I like how Neal keeps pressing Peter about how he could have had a different life -- the high life. And how Peter is so steadfast in his convictions. Even when he's tempted, it's not a real temptation as much as a "wow, wouldn't it be something" type thought. Peter is truly happy where he is. But even more than that Peter is honestly not jealous of that life.

I love that when Peter says that Diana is going to work with Mozzie, Neal says "She will eat him alive". But it's actually Mozzie that wins in the end. With the help of June, but he still wins. Diana is awesome on many levels, but everything that Moz is would make her underestimate him.

There is so much cool in this ep. Peter conning the Latin phrase out of Kent. Neal's fixing of who paid for the office dinner out. Peter's love of Italian roast coffee and how he didn't want to drink the regular FBI coffee. Moz's concern over telling Neal that Peter has the box. Neal's empathy for the girlfriend's desire for revenge. Peter's Latin quote of "Give me the facts. I will give you the law" and his description of revenge as "shortsighted and dangerous" and "furthering chaos". Neal's rush to save Peter - his cool rewiring of the elevator, his telling the guard to get the police and paramedics. Peter's insistence that they had to save Kent – "We don't leave anyone behind." The fact that Neal goes back an gets Kent because he couldn't not do what Peter asked.

The show just rocks when it comes to Neal and Peter. Their friendship, their trust issues, their secrets. I love how Neal and Peter confront each other over secrets and lies, there's anger there but it's contained. Ever since Neal told Peter that he's never lied to him, (misled him, yes; left out information, yes; but never outright lied to him), I've been carefully watching how Peter hides things from Neal. It was a gauntlet and it very effectively stopped Peter from being able to outright lie to Neal, although he doesn't voluntarily correct old lies.

It's an interesting dance these two have. Neal says "I'm not working on anything", Peter knows "Then Mozzie's working on it". When Neal gives Peter the opportunity to voluntarily tell him about the music box Peter doesn’t' do it but when Neal calls Peter on having the music box, Peter has to come clean. Then Neal ups the ante by showing that he has the key. Then he goes: "No more secrets, Peter." Peter agrees: "No more secrets."

*Glee*

More than any other show this one brings out the *glee* in me. I could go scene by scene and write about the wondrousness of each one in detail. But that's only after I've watched it two or three times. Until then, all I can do is go "OMG that is so adorable" every other scene. And when I'm not doing that I'm reduced to happy flailing incoherencies. There are shows that would appear before this one on my "List of Favorite Shows" but it's really the only one that makes me this ridiculously fangirl. I've decided that I should never watch it around other people for I make a complete and utter fannish fool out of myself.

Is it Tuesday, yet?

This show is making me so happy right now. I loved this ep for the reasons you said -- and my heart's in my throat just remembering Neal's run for the elevator and hot-wiring the controls. Then there's Peter telling him no, we don't leave that guy to die even if he is a bad guy.

I just. Oh, White Collar. ♥
