And it's the Packers. Packers' football, baby!

I grew up in Wisconsin, live there still. I love Packer football. Actually, I love this time of year with playoff football, it's just better when the Packers are involved.

And today is a good day to be a Packer fan.

We've been playing "Do or Die" games for the past three weeks. And we've been doing. Aaron Rodgers is doing a great job of playing solid, steady football. Clay Mathews is still awesome. We had a young player step up and have a stellar game. We've kept low-key and focused on the game, rather than off-field antics. We're a small damn market and even a smaller town for the game to be played in. It keeps the stupidity down. I like that.

Next we face a Falcons. It's an uphill battle. A team we lost to once already this year. But it's still anyone's game.

My favorite quote of the day is from Mike Greeny (from ESPNs Mike & Mike in the Morning). They were talking about why the spread in the game only has the Falcons up by 2. Home field advantage should give them 3, coming off a bye-week and beating the Pack earlier in the season should add at least another 4 or 5, maybe even more. But the biggest determination on spread is how people are betting, and people are betting on the Packers. Greeny's explination: I think all of America is falling in love with Green Bay.

What I like about that is it isn't about thinking that the team is unbeatable. It's not about any one superstar. It's not about hype. It's not even about thinking that the Packers will win against the Falcons. It's just about the love of the team... The little guy. The one who doesn't give up. The one who might just surprise us all. The one who is just good enough to win, but isn't really expected to.

Yeah, I know. But I'm a fan and this one of my fandoms. I get to be this way.

Go, Pack, Go!
