I'd share more but... You know how it is when something good might happen, something that you want really badly and that disappointment that comes when it doesn't happen?
For me, that disappointment is so much harder to handle when I have to share the news that the good thing didn't happen to all those I told.
*re-reads sentence* Yeah. I don't think I can explain it any better. It's just much easier for me to handle all the feelings and figure everything out and then share that with others. Of course, by then I may not share at all. Heh. The catch-22 of my lj-posting life.
On a note of things that I will share:
Myria is on a billboard. How cool is that? The local teacher's union put up a billboard proudly proclaiming that our great teachers make for great schools. They took several pictures of teachers and students, one of which was of Myria's Delta (Gifted and Talented) Program. She's got the prime spot in front on the top left corner. It's great.
We wave at it every time we drive by. When ever she says she's cold I tell her that she should be because she's not wearing a coat on the billboard and it's cold outside. We occasionally stop, park and just look at it. We tell everyone to go and look at it.
Obviously this drives my daughter a little crazy. That's fun, too.
I have some pictures of it. I'll see if I can post them.
Hee! That's counts as a Woo-Hoo! , too.
