We picked up Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the midnight festival last Friday. As usual I am reading it aloud to Myria. It's slow going because there seems to be very little time that we are home together and able to read.
In the end, though, it's worth the wait. Reading aloud makes me read every word and not rush past some parts in order to get to the answers I'm looking for. Reading with Myr means that we can discuss all the little questions and points that pop up in the reading. We get to try and guess all the possible plot twists and character motivations that come along.
It's the very best type of book discussion possible.
FUN.
