Myria is doing a forensics again this year (she earned a silver at state last year) and she chose to do a peice in farrago. Farrago is when you take excerpts from a variety of literary sources that address the same topic.

She chose "Creativity" as her topic and has excerpts from an essay, a poem and book.

What I am looking for is a something from a play, movie or television program that would be about creativity or the creative process. I know that "The Dead Poets Society" would work, but I haven't seen it.

Does anyone have any ideas? It doesn't have to be long, a half-minute to a minute long - something that she could reference/quote.

Thanks!

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything -

but maybe this'll help?

And, of course, if I run the above searches on things like artistic and imaginative (and creative, for that matter) there are other vaguely possible hits.

Not that I'm a wee bit obsessive tonight or anything.

And I am highly entertained that one of the quotes I found while searching was this:

"A-Team, The" (1983) {The Theory of Revolution (#5.5)}
Frankie Santana: B.A., genius and artistry cannot be rushed.

I'm probably way off base here, but Middleman has an artist as a main character. I'm particularly thinking of the last few minutes of most of the episodes when she's back in her loft and painting images from her adventures. There's also the ArtCrawl! episode...

The first season Bones episode where Cullen's artistic daughter is hospitalized and dying from the cancerous bone graft. The kid is a good artist, and there's the bit with Angela where she digitizes the girl's art, or when she sets up the virtual tour of the Louvre.

Dead Poets is *fantastic*, I highly, highly recommend it whenever you get the chance. There's a "climb up on your desks" scene that has forever altered my thinking processes and view of the world.

You could try Stranger Than Fiction...
